CLASS RULES

  • FAIR VS EQUAL POLICY
I promise to be fair to all students, but NOT to treat them equally. Isn't that GREAT?

  • You must have all materials (folders, books, pencils, etc.) upon arrival to class. If you leave something in your locker, you will be considered unprepared for class which will result in an office referral. If you simply do not have materials, you will receive a zero for that class meeting and be referred to the office for being unprepared for class.
  • You must be in your seat when the bell rings (not running in the door or bolting across the classroom). If you are not in your seat, you are considered tardy, unless you have a note from the office or from another teacher.
  • You must remain in your seat, unless instructed otherwise, until the bell rings. There will be NO standing at the door waiting for the bell to ring.
  • Absolutely NO CHEWING GUM shall be allowed in this classroom.
  • Please do not ask to go to the bathroom unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.
  • Your chair must be returned to the rows, straight and neat, before you may leave class.
  • Your things are your things as are your neighbors. Do not bother anything that does not belong to you (classroom items included).
  • You are responsible for your textbooks. If you do not take care of them and/or keep up with them, you will be expected to reimburse the school at the price suggested by the administration. Do not leave the books in class.
  • ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY:  The key to a learning environment is respect. If, at any time, you are disrespectful to me or to any one of your classmates, you will be sent “immediately” to the office. This type of behavior includes talking out of turn or to your neighbors (when someone else has the floor), getting out of your seat (causing a distraction), or any other behavior that is disrespectful to me or to your peers.
  • All other school rules apply in this classroom: no horseplay, no fighting, no improper language, etc.
